I grew up on a farm in Indiana, where my parents taught me Christian values, discipline, and a strong work ethic. I was the valedictorian of my high school class, and started off to be an engineer, but I felt that something was missing. I moved to Lincoln, Illinois to pursue a master’s degree at Lincoln Christian University. While in seminary, I started writing basic insurance and investments for ministers to pay my way through grad school. I wrote my thesis on doing business with a Christian worldview, and my professors and friends encouraged me to make this my ministry.

It turns out that my education in counseling and critical thinking is pretty good training for a financial advisor. I entered the College for Financial Planning and committed my life’s work to giving personalized financial advice from a stewardship perspective.

Getting to travel is a real treasure.  Lately we've enjoyed exploring our nation’s national parks and scenic beauty.

Most Saturday mornings I’m taking care of the yard and our seven berms of flowers, including 25 varieties of daylilies.

Here I am working on my golf game.
